Jene Butler leads the clinical team at Catapult Health, overseeing nurse practitioners and field staff. She also manages licensing and credentialing operations. In close collaboration with Catapult Health’s Chief Medical Officer and collaborating physicians, Jene ensures clinical excellence across the organization. She is directly involved in patient care, providing follow-up for individuals at the highest risk.

Jene began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. As a newly graduated RN, she was selected for the prestigious Critical Care and Trauma Internship at Parkland Hospital, where she went on to work in the Cardiopulmonary ICU and as an ICU float pool nurse. While attending graduate school, she worked in the research department at UT Southwestern.

In 2008, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has gained diverse clinical experience across multiple specialties and family practice. She later transitioned into onsite employee healthcare, delivering primary and preventive care at various corporate locations.

Jene earned a post-master’s certificate in Nursing Education in 2012 and served as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2017, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

With a career spanning clinical care, research, education, and healthcare leadership, Jene brings a wealth of experience and passion to improving health outcomes through innovation and compassionate care.
